Bisacodyl (Bisacodyl)

Bisacodyl is a laxative drug, its action is based on strengthening and accelerating the peristaltic contractions of the large intestine. In addition, Bisacodil increases the secretion of mucus by the cells of the large intestine, as a result of which it envelops the feces, facilitating their passage to the outside.

The drug has been shown to be effective as a laxative for constipation caused by atony of the large intestine, as well as in bedridden patients who underwent surgery or childbirth. Another area of use of the drug is the regulation of the stool during proctitis, anal fissures, hemorrhoids, and to cleanse the intestines in preparation for operations.

Reviews

In most cases, Bisacodil tablets are rated positively by people, since they have a pronounced laxative effect rather quickly. Many consider the drug an indispensable tool for problems with bowel movements, prolonged constipation or the need to go to the toilet at certain times. Also, people note that the drug should be taken very carefully, it is best to start with a single pill, because otherwise you may develop severe diarrhea.

However, among the positive reviews of Bisacodil there are also negative ones. A negative opinion about the drug is expressed by people in whom the drug has caused severe flatulence, cramps or painful contractions of the intestine. At the same time, bowel emptying did occur, but the person felt discomfort, which was subjectively perceived as strong or intolerable. This is what causes the negative feedback on Bisacodyl tablets.
